TRX is a form of strength training developed by a Navy SEAL. All exercises are done in a "suspended" position (rather than vertical) so that core muscles, as well as small stabilizing muscles, are being recruited in every exercise. TRX strength training is a perfect complement to our pilates reformer classes in Kearny Mesa, San Diego. TRX is so effective that it is now a regular part of the San Diego Navy Seals workout today. All movements are done with the body angled. It is referred to as “suspension training” and could really be called “pilates core strength training” since everything done, even a bicep curl, engages core muscles.
